Malliotakis Endorsed by Captains Endowment Association of NYPD
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11, Staten Island-Southern Brooklyn) was endorsed for a fourth term in Congress by the Captains Endowment Association (CEA) of the NYPD.
The CEA represents over 2,100 active and retired members of the NYPD holding the rank of captain, deputy inspector, inspector, deputy chief, and police surgeon.
CEA President Chris Monahan wrote, “After an extensive vetting process, we’ve come to trust that you are the candidate, out of all the other candidates, who best understands the needs and concerns of New York City’s police force, as well as the needs and concerns of the uniformed civil service ranks of the City of New York. You recognize the need for the police and the importance of supporting them.
“We look forward to working closely and productively with you on any, and all issues that affect organized labor and/or law enforcement in your community. Please feel free to call upon us if issues arise where our input can be helpful in improving and/or preserving the quality of life in the neighborhoods you represent.”
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis said, “I’d like to thank the men and women of the Captains Endowment Association and President Chris Monahan for their strong words of support. The CEA represents the ‘Brass’ of the NYPD; the men and women that provide the supervision and leadership that is crucial to the operations of the department.
“I will always be a vocal advocate for the funding, training and resources they need to do their job. In addition, I will continue my mission to ensure that 9/11 first responders and survivors have the coverage and care they need and deserve from the World Trade Center Health Center.”
