The PBA, founded in 1894, represents 47,000 active and retired NYPD Police Officers. The largest police union in New York City, the PBA supports, defends and advocates for the brave men and women of the NYPD.

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (NY-11, Staten Island-Southern Brooklyn) was endorsed today by the NYC Police Benevolent Association (PBA). PBA President Patrick Hendry, PBA Executive Board members and PBA Delegates stood shoulder to shoulder with Malliotakis at the Staten Island news conference.

The PBA, founded in 1894, represents 47,000 active and retired NYPD Police Officers. The largest police union in New York City, the PBA supports, defends and advocates for the brave men and women of the NYPD.

PBA President Patrick Hendry said: “We are proud to once again endorse Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis because she always puts public safety and her constituents first. Whenever New York City police officers are facing a challenge, she is first in line to offer her support. Then, she turns that support into action, from securing more funding for the NYPD or fighting to get our 9/11 heroes the treatment they deserve. Nicole delivers for Staten Island and Brooklyn, and we look forward to continuing to work with her to keep every neighborhood safe.”

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis said, “I’d like to thank the men and women of New York City’s Police Benevolent Association and its President Patrick Hendry for their kind endorsement. They are our first line of defense against the crime and terrorism and put their lives on the line each day for our city and safety.

“The PBA has stood alongside me knowing that I will always support law enforcement and fight for the tools and resources they need; including training, equipment, protective gear and counter-terrorism funding. I will always continue my mission to ensure that 9/11 first responders and survivors have the coverage and care they need and deserve from the World Trade Center Health Center healthcare program.

“In addition, I will never hesitate to stand up to radical politicians who want to defund or handcuff law enforcement. I’m glad the PBA has my back in this election, because I’ll always have theirs.”

In Congress, Rep. Malliotakis has secured millions of dollars in federal funding for vehicles, K-9s, forensic equipment, protective gear, cameras, tasers and rape kits.
