THERE’S NO SAFE PLACE TO SHOOT UP

When Mayor de Blasio first proposed this two years ago, Nicole Malliotakis contacted the U.S. Department of Justice and asked for their help to stop him. They swiftly responded and said that any City action to allow "illegal drug use, including at a supervised injection facility, will constitute a violation of the Controlled Substances Act" and that the Department’s "agents and prosecutors will not stand idly by while misguided, dangerous, and destructive federal criminal violations take place."

While that should have been the final word on the matter, the Mayor is trying again to create legalized heroin injection sites under the new name "Overdose Prevention Centers" and he is calling on the state legislature to pass a new law to let him do it.

To stop him, Nicole once again called for the U.S. Department of Justice to intervene. Help encourage the federal government to stop Mayor de Blasio and sign our petition opposing the state legislation (S.5289/A.7813) allowing these injection centers.
