Statement By Malliotakis on the Advisory Commission on City Art, Monuments and Markers

by Malliotakis on | Featured, Nicole Malliotakis

Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis said, “Today, Bill de Blasio rolled out a commission that really isn’t needed and probably shouldn’t exist. For over a century New Yorkers have lived with many of the statues that grace our city. They only have become an issue because Bill de Blasio chose to make them one. Creating divisive issues is wrong; it’s bad for the city and its citizens. Instead, as Mayor, I will focus on addressing the homeless crisis he created, the transit crisis he refuses to fix, and perhaps most importantly stop the pay-to-play mentality that Bill de Blasio and his administration are way too comfortable with.”
