Nicole Malliotakis said, “In just under 2 weeks of active fundraising and without the assistance of professional fundraisers, Nicole for New York City, my mayoral campaign committee, surpassed the campaign’s internal goals by raising nearly $100,000. The vast majority of donations came from residents of the 5 boroughs of New York City and were in amounts of $100 or less. Today’s results prove that we are on our way to raising the donations needed to qualify for the NYC Campaign Finance Board’s matching funds program. While I am extremely happy with our results and the potential they show, I am also well aware that we have a lot of catching up to do to match the stockpile of ‘pay-to-play’ donations in Bill de Blasio’s campaign coffers. While he’ll continue to be funded by the special interests and the business as usual crowd, my campaign will remain focused on donations from hard-working New Yorkers who share the core belief that Bill de Blasio and his progressive policies are progressively bad for New York.”
