Greaney: “Malliotakis is a proven winner with strong Republican credentials.”
Assemblyman Nicole Malliotakis, the real Republican in the race for Mayor, was endorsed today by former Bronx County Republican Chair, John Greaney. Greaney, who served as GOP Chair from April 2013 to December 2016, called Assemblywoman Malliotakis, “a proven winner with strong Republican credentials, who has what it takes to go head-to-head with Bill de Blasio.”
John Greaney said, “As the former Chairman of the Bronx Republican Party and a firm believer in Republican principles, I am proud to endorse Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis in her race for Mayor. There are others running for our party’s nomination who claim to be Republicans. I can say without hesitation that Assemblywoman Malliotakis is truly the real Republican in this race and she has the electoral victories and the voting record to prove it. As a dynamic and articulate woman of Greek and Cuban heritage she will draw new voters to the Republican line.
“Her knowledge of the issues and of the problems the outer boroughs face will attract voters who have had it with the far left, politically correct policies that Mayor de Blasio champions and that are slowly destroying our city.
“Nicole Malliotakis will fight for small businesses, because her immigrant parents ran one. She understands firsthand the struggles that business owners’ face; high taxes, red tape and regulation and a city government that seems intent on placing road blocks at every turn on the route to success.
“In addition, you’ll never see Nicole Malliotakis turn her back on the NYPD; she strongly believes in law and order and instinctively understands that the root cause of crime is criminals. In short, she’s a proven winner with strong Republican credentials, who has what it takes to go head-to-head with Bill de Blasio and the business as usual crowd in City Hall. I know that Nicole Malliotakis will be there for the Bronx; creating new jobs and keeping the streets of our neighborhoods safe and that’s why I’m endorsing her in the race for Mayor.”
Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis said, “I want to thank Chairman Greaney for his support and confidence. He understands that I’ll be a vocal advocate for the hard working taxpayers and small business owners who are the lifeblood of our city. I’ll fight to see that our schools educate and that our streets are safe and most importantly that Bill de Blasio is a one term Mayor.”
